We are very content the share the tremendous work of ACCH during the covid-19 surge in Nepal. ACCH went to several remote locations with Covid-19 awareness programs and covid-19 PPE reliefs. In the Picture: Our team from ACCH in the remote village Gangdi khola of Rajpur VDC of Dang District with Covid-19 awareness and PPE reliefs. It takes 1 hour hike the hills from the nearest motor road to reach this village; it is also deprived of roadways, hospital, school and Telephone communication network.

Prem Lal Chaudhary is a 75 years old man from a remote Bhagwanpur village of Dang district. He is suffering from bilateral severe hearing loss for more than 15 years and is having difficulties related to hearing and doing daily activities. Our team from ACCH went to his house to meet him and test his hearing. We found that he was suffering from progressive irreversible hearing loss. We provided Prem a hearing aid and he was so happy to hear people speak more again after years. He says, in his words; “I had been praying for years to God to help me with my hearing. Today my prayers are answered”.

Lautan Tharu is a 79 years old man from a remote village of Jodhipur in Bardiya district. It has been more than 7 years his wife passed away, since then he has been living in a local Church of his village. His Son, daughter-in-law and grand children also lives in the same village. Lautan Tharu has been suffering from bilateral severe hearing loss for more than 10 years. After knowing about him, we went to see him. After performing the hearing test on him we provided him with a hearing aid. He was so happy to hear again after more than 10 years.
